Start by talking with your partner. Discuss what you both want from the experience, your comfort levels, wants and boundaries, and the type of imagery you’d like to create.
Do you want something soft and romantic, artistic and moody or bold and sensual? Sharing your expectations beforehand will help you feel more confident and excited on the day. You might even choose to create a Pinterest board with inspiration for the style of shots you’d like to create together.
Before your shoot, you’ll have the opportunity to share your creative vision and comfort levels with your photographer too. Our photographers at Verve will listen carefully and create a safe and fun space in the studio that brings your creative vision to life in way that feels comfortable and true to you.
What to wear
Not sure what to wear? The key is to wear things that fit well and make you feel amazing, confident and comfortable.
Think soft tones, textured fabrics like lace, silks or linen, a slinky slip, lace robe or even a white button up or your favourite jeans. For him, maybe jeans and bare feet or a crisp white shirt.
If you’re going for the sexy sensual look, some lacy lingerie and neutral underwear can look great. If less is more you for you, we can also artfully style you in the nude – artistic and elegant.
