Hints and tips for your
Verve Intimate photoshoot
Congratulations on booking your Verve Intimate photoshoot – we’re excited to welcome you into our studio.
Your photoshoot is a chance to celebrate your body and sensuality in a very empowering photo session. This guide will help you prepare for it.
We also offer complimentary pre-session consultations with our lead photographer and stylist. If you would like to discuss your shoot further prior to the session, just email us at info@verveintimate.com.au to arrange a time or shoot some questions through to us.
ALLOW TIME
Arrive early to settle in and get comfortable before the shoot. We also serve bubbles upon arrival (another great incentive to arrive early!) so aim to arrive 15 minutes before the shoot.
HAVE FUN!
Boudoir photography is fun, so relax and be in the moment. There’s no right or wrong way to do boudoir photography. It’s all about celebrating you in a way that makes you feel confident and beautiful.
CELEBRATE INTIMACY
We will work with you around how much skin you show. You may choose a more subtle approach…or don’t be afraid to pose in a way that feels sensual and intimate.

Intimate shoots are about freedom of expression and capturing imagery that is uniquely you, so don’t feel confined to these looks. We love to get creative and welcome your own personal style.
Lingerie
LINGERIE COMPLETE SET:
Think matching bra & G-string or briefs, suspenders & stockings, keeping all the colours matching. The brand ‘Honey Birdette’ is a good example of this look.
LINGERIE SIMPLIFIED SET:
Making sure things match but are just built around a bra and bottoms. Avoid ‘T’ shaped g-strings as they can be unflattering.
CLASSIC VINTAGE:
This can be incredibly elegant and sexy in the classiest of ways. Think high waisted briefs and soft silk bralettes and slips.
ONE PIECE LINGERIE BODYSUIT:
If opting for this look, ensure that the sides are high cut as opposed to low cut due to it being more flattering.
Lounge / day time style
LOUNGE STYLE UNDERWEAR:
Exploring sets that have a ‘Calvin Klein’ type look to them. Simple and sporty yet still matching.
DAY CLOTHING PAIRED WITH LINGERIE:
Bring your large winter coat or denim jacket and jeans! Bring along an oversized dress shirt.
Makeup
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Apply your own makeup as you would do on a night out. Most of the images you see in our galleries are clients who did not have their makeup done professionally.
Our style is very natural and we like to keep you looking ‘like you’ but if you do feel like a little pampering or you’re not confident in applying your own makeup feel free to arrange a professional makeup artist prior to the shoot.
Maternity

What happens after the shoot?
Following the photoshoot, our dedicated team of editors and retouchers will prepare your images for viewing, which typically takes 3-5 days. Bring your calendar to your photoshoot to schedule your viewing session in advance.
